Tom O'Bedlam - Journal
15th May 1999 (ish?!!)
I'm writing this on Mars. Yes, Mars. No idea if I'll be able to update this when I get home. (If I get home.) It's been a bit stressful of late, but the experiences have brought us all closer together. Do you think Naomi's starting to like me? She's asked me if I'll spend some time with her when we get back to Earth, helping out at her community centre and stuff.
Space isn't what I expected. Don't really know what I expected,
but travelling in a wooden rocket wasn't what I had in mind. Could
whoever volunteered us for this mission please step forward so we
can show him the nearest airlock. Waystation itself was a nightmare.
Giant wolves and evil mages (magi? - must check spelling when I
get home). We survived, but I'm not convinced it was down to any
skill on our part. More worryingly, one of us is the Child of Moloch.
From what little I've figured out, that's bad news. Jake seems to
know more about this than the rest of us so I'll be watching him
closely from now on...
Hope Freyja's okay.
